DATA-CENTER CONSTRUCTION SUPPLY CHAIN
Data-center builds run on immovable dates: utility power delivery, commissioning windows, and go-live commitments that cannot slip. The risk rarely sits in the dirt or the steel. It sits in the supply chain for the long-lead equipment the site is waiting on. These are the five risks we see put go-live dates in jeopardy — and how Aeon Trade closes each one.
LONG-LEAD
Electrical gear, generators, transformers, and cooling — sequenced to site readiness.
DOOR-TO-DOOR
One accountable operator from factory to site, across every mode and border.
CHARTER RECOVERY
Air and sea capacity sourced to your date — not the carrier's.
WHERE THE RISK SITS
Every data-center program carries these five exposures. None of them is exotic — and every one of them is manageable, if it is managed before the purchase order, not after the ship date.
01
Long-lead sequencing
Generators, transformers, switchgear, and cooling systems carry the longest lead times on the build — and the least float. Sequenced to the purchase order instead of site readiness, they arrive early (storage, double-handling, exposure) or late (idle crews, missed commissioning windows).
02
Landed-cost surprises
The purchase price is not the landed cost. Duties, crating, rigging, route clearances, bridge tolerances, and power-line or signal moves surface after capital is committed — unless the full picture is modeled before you sign.
03
Single-mode freight plans
Commercial capacity runs on the carrier's schedule, for standard cargo. Oversized, overweight, high-value capital equipment on an immovable date needs transport engineered around the cargo: whole-aircraft charter, break-bulk ocean, blue-water barge.
04
Handoff gaps
Factory to port to site crosses vendors, modes, and borders. Every handoff without one accountable operator is a place for equipment to wait, paperwork to stall, and responsibility to blur.
05
No recovery plan
Shipments slip — that is not the failure. The failure is having no pre-engineered way back. Without charter capacity identified before you need it, a two-week slip becomes a missed go-live.
HOW AEON TRADE CLOSES THE GAP
Analysis first, then execution — and one accountable operator through both. This is the Aeon Trade approach, applied to the equipment side of your build.
Risk & landed-cost analysis
Determine the best landed cost and expose hidden risk across your supply chain — before you commit capital.
Long-lead sequencing
Generators, transformers, switchgear, and cooling systems sequenced to site milestones — arriving exactly when the site is ready for them.
Route studies
Clearances, bridge tolerances, and the need for power-line and signal moves — determined before a single wheel turns.
Project surveying
Export preparation, crating, lifting, tie-down, transfer, and transport — surveyed, guided, and documented.
Charter & schedule recovery
Whole-aircraft charters, break-bulk ocean, and blue-water barge — sourced for your schedule, not the carrier's.
Materials management
Kitting, staging, and tracking of complex equipment sets across multiple origins and modes.
CASE STUDIES
A selection of programs where Aeon Trade talent advised, chartered, and managed the movement of high-value capital equipment — on schedule, door to door.
Power Generators & Transformers
Heavy electrical equipment — the same class of cargo at the center of every data-center build — moved as mission-critical freight.
P-3 Orion Shipped by Sea
A complete patrol aircraft, shipped by sea.
Aircraft Tooling
Production tooling moved for an aircraft program.
War Game Deploy/Redeployment
Military equipment deployed and redeployed on exercise timelines.
Logistical Support for Military Contractors
Ongoing logistics support to defense contractors.
